You pressed donate. Now what? Here is exactly how your contribution moves from payment to real impact — and how you can track every step.

Pressing the donate button takes two seconds. What happens next — how your rupees travel, who receives them, and how you know they arrived — is something most platforms leave unexplained. We think you deserve to know.

Step 1: Payment is captured and confirmed

Your transaction is processed through a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. A receipt is generated immediately and sent to your email. For eligible 80G donations, the tax receipt is attached automatically — no follow-up required.

Step 2: Funds are held in a dedicated collection account

Donations do not sit in a general fund. Each verified NGO has a dedicated disbursement track. Funds are held separately until the scheduled release cycle, which runs twice a month for most campaigns.

Step 3: NGO receives disbursement with itemised record

• The NGO receives an NEFT/RTGS transfer directly to its registered bank account.
• Each transfer includes a campaign-wise breakdown so the organisation knows exactly which cause each rupee supports.
• All partner NGOs must confirm receipt and update their campaign status within 5 working days.

Every contribution is tracked from donation to delivery.

Step 4: Impact update reaches you

Once the NGO confirms receipt and use of funds, campaign updates are posted to SevaDeep. If you donated to a campaign, you receive a notification with what was done — meals served, items distributed, families helped.

Transparency is not a feature. It is the minimum standard for trust.

What if something goes wrong?

If an NGO does not confirm within the required window, funds are held and the issue is escalated to our review team. Donors are notified. In rare cases where a campaign cannot be fulfilled, contributions are redirected to a closely matched cause with your agreement.
